What is the true origin of the things in which we perceive? For example, sound is to perception as to hear is to perceive. This is interesting because sound does not exist unless there are hears to hear it, and to a deaf man sound does not exist at all, for to him the description of sound is foreign, because sound itself is not a thing in itself- it only exists to the ears that hear it. So then where is the true origin of sound? If we look and listen closely, we can see and hear that sound only exists when there is movement. For if everything all at once stood completely still as if frozen, there would be silence. But how do we know that what we refer to as silence is really the absence of all sound? Could it be possible that to those that have ears to hear have actually never truly heard the sound of silence, in which is the absence of sound? Everything around us is constantly moving, even when we stop. The earth we live on is even in motion, rotating slowly. Even our voices originate from movement, for the sound that comes from our mouths comes from vocal cords clapping together every time we utter a word. In order to speak, things within us have to move! But is movement the origin of sound, or could the origin be deeper? What makes everything move? The leaves move because the wind blows them, but where does the wind come from, and what makes it move? Wind is the only thing that takes no form and yet moves! We can not see the wind itself with our eyes unless it moves something else, but we can feel it, and since it moves we can hear it, and when it borrows a fragrance we know its there because we breath it. Movement in its simplest form has to occur between two elements: the mover and the moved upon. Movement only occurs when there is a force from the mover placed on the moved upon, but where does the mover extract the strength to exert force on the moved upon? Force is derived from energy, but energy can neither be created or destroyed. So if sound comes from movement, and movement from force, and force from energy, then sound ultimately comes from energy. But if energy can neither be created nor destroyed, then energy always is, always has been, and always will be. Energy never began and it never ends, therefore it is eternal which further means that sound, being produced by movement, force, and essentially energy, occurs when that which is eternal collides into that which is temporal. In the Bible, God describes himself as the great “I AM” -always present, and never ceasing to exist. God describes Himself as the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega, for He has no beginning nor ending, but the element we have discovered and named “energy” is strikingly described identically. Therefore it can be concluded that God is in fact energy! And if this is true, and it has to be according to science and scripture because there is no thing that is eternal but Him, then the true origin of sound is God and each time we hear it we are perceiving a live demonstration of His presence.
Isaiah 43:10-13:
10 “But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.
“You are my servant.
You have been chosen to know me, believe in me,
and understand that I alone am God.
There is no other God—
there never has been, and there never will be.
11 I, yes I, am the Lord,
and there is no other Savior.
12 First I predicted your rescue,
then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world.
No foreign god has ever done this.
You are witnesses that I am the only God,”
says the Lord.
13 “From eternity to eternity I am God.
No one can snatch anyone out of my hand.
No one can undo what I have done.”

You are witnesses that I am the only God,”

Revelation 1:8:
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”
